The Kempsey Healing Events Committee announced today that Dash With A Splash will be held on Friday April 12 as a highlight to Youth Week celebrations.

The day will start at 10am and finish at 2.00pm.
It is also a great way to end the last day of term for those schools who are attending.
Dash With A Splash is Kempsey's version of the colour run.
This year’s theme for Youth Week is Coming together to Connect, Share, Speak Out, and Celebrate is the essence of what we are trying to achieve.
“Booroongen Djugun Limited is honoured to be the Platinum Sponsor for this year’s events. We will now be rebranding it as ‘Dash With A Splash and a Twist’, CEO Mr Gary Morris OAM said.
“This will ensure that all members of our community can participate, enjoy their day and go home with lots of colour.”
As Platinum Sponsor for the first time, Booroongen Djugun Ltd mentioned we are spicing it up by adding a Twist. The Twist will see the introduction of 4 obstacles that all abilities and ages can participate in. Burrun Dalai is the lead agent for this event on behalf of the Kempsey Healing Events Committee .
Kempsey Healing Events Committee also have the following sponsors The Benevolent Society, Mid North Coast Local Health District and Community Housing Ltd are Silver Sponsors along with Team Spirit, HIPPY, Uniting and Ready Mob as our Bronze Sponsors. There are still some places available for sponsors.
Kempsey Healing Events Committee have a special Ambassador for the day, Mr Jack Wilson, also known as the ‘Deadly Ninja’.
Mr Wilson will lead a race as well as do a couple Ninja Challenges as part of the activities. The activities team has been coming up with different activities that will keep you all entertained throughout the day.
Kempsey Healing Events Committee are aiming for more stalls this year to come along as well. This will give the organisers a better idea of what services are around. Each stall will be interactive and will play a role in the major prizes that will be given out on the day.
It will cost each competitor $15 to register and that provides you with a t-shirt, bag, visor, safety goggles as well a lunch which includes a sandwich, muesli bar, piece of fruit and a popper.
There will be lots of prizes on the day as well and a dress up completion too.
All Schools in the Macleay Valley have been invited to come along and enjoy the day. We even have some pre-schools coming along as well because they had so much fun last year.

There’s 25 organisations sitting round the table working to make this a successful day. It is great to see everyone coming together in the planning. We have different teams coordinating different aspects of the day.
