We have found all sorts of things - sporting goods including a kayak, broken chairs, lots of plastic bags, shopping trolleys, balls, bottles and cans - although those have reduced since the 'return and earn' scheme started.
Our most memorable find was a huge inflatable swan, which we towed back to Riverside park. Thanks to Kempsey Shire Council for their donation of some long handled rubbish pickers which makes the job easier.
With Clean Up Australia just past, we wanted to share this little known side of the Kempsey Dragon Boat Club's River Rats.
