It is understandable that people want their elected representatives to know what they think when major projects or plans are underway in our Valley, and council is keen for people to provide their input when items are placed on public exhibition.

It is important that all councillors have access to the same information as it is the entire council that votes on matters brought before it. All submissions are given equal consideration, emails sent directly to the mayor or individual councillors are not given a higher value than other submissions.
Council currently has two significant items for community review - the Kempsey Airport Draft Noise Management Plan and Fly Neighbourly Advice and the Draft Verge and Eden Street Sporting Complex Masterplan will be out on public exhibition shortly.
We want to understand the community's views on these items and encourage your submission on what you like, what you don't like or what you think could be improved.
To make sure your views are included, it's best to email your submission to Council's General Manager at council's corporate email: ksc@kempsey.nsw.gov.au or mail it to: PO Box 3078, West Kempsey.
This way your submission will be given the fullest consideration.
All submissions lodged directly with Council are reviewed and a summary is included in the Council meeting business papers.
Neighbour Day
Neighbour Day, on Sunday, March 31, is a great chance for everyone in our community to do something special with those we live alongside throughout the year.
Building a more connected community is one of the four goals identified in our community strategic plan, and it is important that people in our community feel valued and connected through a healthy network of friends, including our neighbours.
