Harmony day celebrates Australian multiculturalism and the successful integration of migrants into our community.
Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural, religious or linguistic background, united in our belief that we can make this a better world. The theme of Harmony Week is "Everyone Belongs".
The school celebrated with Bollywood dancing, a History of Migration Parade and a Community Feast featuring food from around the world.
"The school's motto is 'Live in Harmony' and we are proud of our ever increasing culturally diverse population with students from many cultural backgrounds including Aboriginal, Spanish, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Fijian Filipino, German, Scandinavian, English, Tibetan, Thai, Swiss and Indonesian," principal Claire Mellon said
"The message we want our students to remember is one of peace, love and hope not fear and divisiveness."
