And this year we are about to get three more - The Lion King in July, Aladdin in May but first off, and now, screening from this weekend, it's Dumbo.
Director Tim Burton has recruited an all-star cast for Dumbo including Colin Farrell, Danny De Vito and a favourite actor he was worked with before, Michael Keaton (Batman and Beetlejuice).
The big-eared elephant who can fly looks like he will be the next big family blockbuster (it's rated PG) as we head towards Easter school holidays.
There is no guarantee, of course, and Disney hit a few hurdles last year with A Wrinkle in Time and The Nutcracker, not to mention Solo which proved that audiences don't want two Star Wars movies a year.
But Dumbo looks good, and it better be, because live-action remakes are already being planned for Lady and the Tramp, Pinocchio and The Little Mermaid.
