In conjunction with several local businesses, sponsors and more than a few volunteers, 14 of the finest independent country music stars played for three-and-a-half days at the Macksville Showground. Using the mantra 'keep it simple', the organisers had food trucks and camping grounds set up for the duration of the muster.
"Country music is my passion; it took 12 months of preparation and to finally see it all come together was fantastic," Vanessa said.
"Many musters focus on pop country, we wanted to do something a little different and have classic country, they are all great artists and Macksville is a great location."
Not only was the talented artist one of the key organisers, Vanessa also took the stage to play in front of a hometown crowd.
"I've been singing and playing for about 40 years; I had a break for some years while I raised a family and worked as a police officer, I've always been singing though, but really started to focus on it full time in the last three to four years," Vanessa said.
"The highlight of the weekend for me would have to have been at the end of the event when all the artists were on stage together, and the Salvo Country Band."
Most of the artists have left, and many of the visitors, for those who missed it this year, you will get another chance in 12 months to experience the muster.
"We will absolutely be doing it again next year; this one was fantastic, it will be the last weekend of March and at the Macksville Showground again," Vanessa said.
"A big thank you to all the organisers, sponsors and artists, as well as everyone who travelled and all the locals who supported us."

Talented up and coming artist Kate Hindle came all the way from Perth to play for the Macksville Music Muster.
Her journey took a plane trip, and a six-hour car drive from Queensland, but the musician frequently has long trips to pursue her passion.
"I'm a lover of going to festivals, I'm flying out somewhere every month, or driving, this is my first time to Macksville though, its a great place, I'm loving it," she said.
The bubbly soon to be a 23-year-old musician has been playing since she was very young, and her sets are broken up with anecdotes about heartbreak, her ongoing health issues and stories from playing music in retirement homes.
"I started playing the piano at seven then moved onto guitar; I've been gigging for about 12 years though," Kate said.
"The last five years I've really started to push myself as an artist. Last year I released a mini album called 'Ready For The Ride', and this year I've released my new single called 'Heart Bleed'."
Aside from pursuing her own career, the young artist is doing her best to help others achieve their musical goals.
"I started my own music school, I have over 50 students now, and they range in age from five to 70, across all genres of music and all levels," Kate said.
Kate Hindle has all her music on streaming services and wherever digital downloads are available. For physical copies of her album and more information head over to her website at www.katehindlemusic.com.
