Blair was sent off by referee Cory Richardson with 13 minutes remaining in the first round clash against Old Bar at Old Bar.
The 21-year-old faced a high tackle charge and this was originally graded as serious. Had he been found guilty with this grading Blair would have been given a seven game suspension.
However, Blair, who was represented by former club president Tim Moorehead, was successful in having the charge downgraded to high. He then pleaded guilty, receiving the three game ban. Blair will also have 75 carry-over points.
Blair will miss Macleay's games against Port Macquarie, Forster-Tuncurry and Wingham and will return for the clash against Port City on May 12.
