Held at Wingham showgrounds, the 32nd annual event is expected to host up to, if not over, 160 head of cattle along with some 600 participants from May 13 to 17.
The annual festival is where beef producers, school students and young beef cattle enthusiasts meet for competition, education and interaction.
The week-long event features hands-on educational workshops with high profile industry presenters, competitions for beef producers and our youth relating to all facets of the beef industry.
Wingham Beef Weeks President Grant Coleman extends a warm welcome.
"As General Manager of Wingham Beef Exports, it gives me great pleasure to once again invite students and producers into our chillers for carcase evaluation and assessment as part of our commitment to education and promotion of the Australian beef industry.
"I am also pleased to announce that the extreme generosity of the Weebollabolla Shorthorn Stud, The Manildra Group and Bob Jamieson Agencies has enabled us to introduce an exciting new competition this year, a School Steer Challenge.
It is sponsor support such as these people and businesses, along with our many dedicated long term sponsors who are the lifeblood of events such as Wingham Beef Week.
There are so many exciting opportunities in the Australian Beef Industry, I strongly encourage everyone to get involved with the event.
- Grant Coleman, President, Wingham Beef Week.
"Whether exhibitors, competitors or you just have an interest in beef cattle come and have a look at the magnificent cattle on display and learn about the latest industry developments.
"Wingham Beef Week is a unique event and a firm fixture on the annual calendar as an event not to be missed.
"Competitors, exhibitors and visitors can be assured of an exciting, friendly and enjoyable time with us."
