Under the title 'Gathering Threads', the artists exhibited at the Taree Regional Art Gallery in 2018, and following this very successful exhibition, were invited to exhibit in the MVCAG by the local Fibre Artists Network.
The six artists, working in diverse mediums, are exhibiting art work that reflect their concerns in the plight of refugees, personal experiences, women's faces, forest life and traces marks and impressions.
Using wool and silk, recycled garments and sticks, printmaking and papa-dams the artists have created imaginative art works that reflect their concerns and ideas. This exhibition will challenge perceptions of textile arts.
The gallery is open from Thursday to Sunday each week, 10.30 to 4pm. An artist's talk will take place on Sunday, June 30 after 1pm in the gallery.
