The University of the Third Age (U3A) might be just the ticket, and they happen to be having their second semester open day next Wednesday, July 31.
With an astonishing 43 courses on the list, offering everything from technology, music , dance, history, and culture to more active health and sport, fun and games, there is certainly plenty to choose from.
And you will be part of one of the valley's most vibrant community groups, with 422 members already signed up.
Annual membership is $20 and open to retired or semi-retired people from around the shire. Once you are a member you can sign up for one or more courses (some courses may require an additional contribution).
The open day is from 10am to noon at the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre, Nambucca Heads.
