Kempsey Fire and Rescue received a call at 3.11pm to attend a fire which had broken out in a home on Middleton St.
Kempsey Fire and Rescue, who were already tackling blazes at three other locations, immediately responded.
The available truck from the station, a task force from the Hunter Region, which had been containing a fire at the Kempsey Golf Club, and a truck from a grass fire at Frederickton attended the house fire.
"The fire at the golf club had been contained and the grass fire at Frederickton was under control and house fires take precedent," Station Commander Tony Hackenberg told the Argus.
"There was no delay in our response whatsoever."
Upon Kempsey Fire and Rescues arrival, the house was fully involved in the fire.
Crews immediately battled the blaze with two hoses and contained the blaze to the property.
The house was extinguished within 45-minutes but the home was totally destroyed.
Port Macquarie Hazmat, police and ambulance also attended, but no one was injured.
Essential Energy cut off power to the property.
