Officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting speed enforcement duties on the Pacific Highway at Collombatti at about 4.45pm yesterday.
The Traffic and Highway Patrol Command detected a utility vehicle travelling at 151km/h in a 110km/h zone.
Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, a 24-year-old man, who produced a P2 provisional licence.
The man returned a positive result during a roadside breath test. He was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station, where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.151.
The man's licence was immediately suspended, and he was issued a Court Attendance Notice for high-range PCA and exceed speed limit over 45km/h.
He is due to appear before Kempsey Local Court on Wednesday September 25.
