The U13s also scored a place last week, which means the club will have two teams playing grand finals on Sunday August 25 at the CEX Coffs International stadium.
"It's the first time in the Bellingen Bulldogs history that we have had two teams into grand finals," Rachael Case said.
"It's an incredible effort from a small club that has grown significantly in the past few years. This year marks the first time we've had 100 registered junior players, not including our Auskickers."
This weekend, the under 13s play Nambucca Valley Lions at 11:10am and the Youth girls play Grafton Tigers at 12:50pm.
Everyone is welcome to come and support the Doggies in their grand final matches.
Youth Girls
The Youth Girls played their preliminary final at Richardson Park, Sawtell. We were up against Coffs Breakers, a team we had played three times previously but never notched up a win. The girls came with the belief that they had the ability to overcome this dominance. They sent a strong message from the start kicking a couple of goals early against a howling wind and keeping the Breakers scoreless in the first.
In the second quarter it was a tight encounter and we kicked another goal and their only reply were behinds. Our relentless defence kept Breakers play makers starving for opportunity. In the third, Breakers mounted a comeback kicking two goals and keeping us scoreless. The last quarter saw our girls rally kicking a further two goals as they could taste victory. Final scores were Bellingen Bulldogs 5.3-33 defeating Coffs Breakers 2.6-18.
In the end it was an outstanding display of Doggies determination and team work and a well deserved place in the grand final.
