Carson Hudson will represent the Macleay when he heads to his third straight State Athletics Carnival after he claimed the Under 14s age champion at the North Coast Combined Championships in Coffs Harbour.

The 14-year-old finished in first place in the 200m sprint and long jump, second in the javelin and fourth in the high jump, 100m sprint and shot put.
Carson, who trains under Ritchie Donovan at Scotts Head, will compete in the 200m sprint and long jump events at the state carnival at Sydney Homebush Olympic Park on September 4, 5 and 6.
Carson recorded a personal best time in the 100m and 200m sprints and also long jump.
Carson flew a massive 5m and 68cm at the championships.
The rising star has been training three days a week in preparation and is hoping to advance to the national competition.
