The two sides have battled in their fair share of finals matches over the past few years and the contests are renowned for their physical nature.
Neither side will give an inch and the fixture is expected to go down to the wire.
Fresh off a confidence building 2-0 win over the minor premiers Port United, Rangers coach Chris Walker wants to see his side repeat the effort from last week.
Macleay Valley were the first side to defeat United this season.
"I want to see us perform pretty similar to what we did on the weekend against Port United," Walker told the Argus.
"I want us to rock up with confidence and with the attitude that we are ready for a tough and physical game.
"I want to see our intensity at a high level right from the start."
Walker said Wallis Lake pose a threat from anywhere near the 18-yard-box and acknowledges his defence will need to be on their toes.
"We need to stay disciplined in defence and not allow them any clear cut opportunities," he said.
"They have two quality strikers who have the ability to shoot from long range and make those shots count. They can score from anywhere around the box.
"We can't back off them and give them any space otherwise they will take us on.
"They are also a good passing team and will move us around so we just have to press on them and restrict their passing lanes."
Walker claims the Rangers will attempt to utilise their speed up front to their advantage and throw different types of attack at the Wallis defence.
"We have plenty of speed in attack," Walker said.
"We will mix up how we push the ball forward. We will play to feet, play wide and use through balls to try and get in behind them."
Rangers finished the season in second position and earned the right to host the semi-final.
The winning side will advance to take on Port United while the loser will face an elimination final.
