The event saw 206 people of all ages compete in the 5km, 10km, 15km and 20km events.
Organiser of the Head to Head, Jo Watts, said the amount of people who came out on the day and competed in the fun run was incredible.
"We had more people than we expected we would with the weather conditions. The smoke was a bit worrying early in the morning," she said.
"The smoke cleared around 8am and it ended up being a really great event. The response we've had from the community has been really positive."
Each year the Lions Club supports a charity on the day, this year they worked with local charity Macleay Valley Diabetes Group.
"We like the money to go towards helping locals and this is a fantastic organisation in our community for us support," Jo said.
There was a friendly and supportive atmosphere on the day, with participants cheering each other on and congratulating each other when crossing the finishing line.
Macleay Valley Diabetes Group also put on a barbecue breakfast for the competitors and volunteers.
"I can't thank the volunteers enough, they keep coming back year after year to ensure the event is a success.
"I also want to thank Pam Bryant who won the members draw at the club and decided to donate it to the event on Sunday.
"There were a lot of families there on the day and the community really got together and had a good time."
The Crescent Head Lions Club would like to thank the sponsors, volunteers, competitors and everyone who ensured the event was a success.
"I just want to thank everyone who was involved with organising the event, it was an amazing day," Jo said.
