Back in March, 1.6 million people went on strike around the world, and for September 20, school strikers have called for double the turnout.
Students have asked for adult support. Already over 26 unions have publicly backed the Climate Strike, calling on their members to down tools for the day and hit the streets, three days before world leaders meet in New York for the UN Emergency Climate Summit.
At the Strike Info Night Nambucca locals made practical plans to get Nambucca residents participating in the Climate Emergency world wide strike.
Nambucca Heads concerned locals have a rally organised in the courtyard of the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre at 12 noon on September 20 - standing up to show our politicians that they're serious about climate action.
