In view of the continuing bushfires, We Mavericks will now be performing at the Dorrigo Showground Pavilion this Friday evening. The concert will be free, but we encourage you to support local fundraising efforts.
Even those of us who have not been directly affected can still come together to share our support for each other and for those who have been affected and the amazing support teams still working on the plateau. This evening was originally scheduled to be at the Megan Hall but we thought it would be wonderful to bring it in more centrally for the families staying at the Showgrounds as well as the local townies and support crews. As is usual with our music evenings, please bring something easy to share if you wish, a chair and something warm.
"We realise Dorrigo and the surrounding district is experiencing a most difficult time with bushfire. We would still love to bring you a night's entertainment, laughter and maybe a little respite from the daunting task at hand. We have songs and stories of hope and humour, with a few tunes to move your feet to.
"Martin's masterful violin, mandolin and vocal meets kiwi Vigenser's captivating voice and driving rhythms. With a unique connection and their folky, jazzy, powerful songs, they have been winning hearts across Australia.
With hooky originals, strange stories and incredible energy, they'll entertain and enthrall even the hardest of you."
We Mavericks will be donating 50 per cent of CD sales to the local RFS. We would love to see you there, circumstances permitting.
