'Paint the town Pink' is an initiative by the McGrath Foundation, which the local Gladstone business community is proud to throw it's support behind.
On Sunday October 6 from 9am to 1.30pm, Gladstone businesses will be decorated with many hosting sales and special offers for shoppers who join in on the fun and come dressed in pink for the occasion.
Markets will be held in the grounds of the Gladstone Hub, there will be live music and the Gladstone CWA ladies will be hosting a massive raffle -with over $2000 worth of prizes up for grabs, with proceeds being donated to the McGrath Foundation.
The rest of town is getting involved too, with the Heritage Hotel serving pink cocktails, Steam & Cedar hosting a delectable pink cake stall, the Old Bank Restaurant serving an exclusive high tea, and Un4gettable 4evermore launching their stunning new season homewares.
Each year over 19,000 people are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Australia (https://breast-cancer.canceraustralia.gov.au/statistics).
It is estimated that it will become the most commonly diagnosed cancer in 2019.
The McGrath Foundation is a breast cancer support and education charity in Australia, which raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and increase breast health awareness.
