Club members from NSW, SA and Qld will be attending and practicing for the upcoming national competition on the first week of November in Tocumwal.
While the event is not open to the general public, you will likely see pilots practicing their routines overhead the aerodrome.
Attending the event will be pilots from the Australian Aerobatic Academy in Sydney and the Sunshine Coast Flying School in Qld; sister schools specialising in aerobatic training.
Joy flights may be available on the Saturday and Sunday for interested locals and people are encouraged to inquire through the Kempsey Flying Club on the weekend.
There will be approximately 20 pilots and five aerobatic aircraft performing aerobatics from 500 feet to 5000 feet above the airport.
The aircraft types will be the Extra 300 (long wing aerobatic aircraft) and the Pitts Special, a full aerobatic small bi-plane.
All of the above are obviously dependent on weather conditions.
