The South West Rocks (SWR) Golf Club Harry Richardson Pennants team has taken the lead after the second round of this year's Pennants was held at Frederickton last Saturday.

The Pennants which are contested between the four Macleay clubs has been played for a long time and each club looks forward to this event each year.
The down river club SWR compiled a total of 10 points from the day to advance them to a total of 18 points to lead the competition at the halfway point.
With a total of seven points from their home game, the Frederickton club sits in second place on the ladder after their total of 14 points after two rounds.
This has them four points clear of the Kempsey side, who are the defending champions, after they recorded a second round total of six points to go with their four points from round one for a total of 14.
The seaside club of Crescent Head round out the pointscore with just six points after they only managed only one draw game for there Single points on Saturday.
With just the two rounds to go, the third round of the 2019 Pennants will be held at the SWR club on Saturday October 7 with the final round to be held at the Kempsey club on Saturday November 30 as the Kempsey club is the defending champions. Good luck to all clubs in the final two rounds of the Pennants.
With the Pennants on, the Kempsey Club Members and visitors from Crescent Head, Frederickton contested the 2019 John Geange Smash Repairs Open Single Stableford event with a number of good scores on the day.

With only a small field, the winner on the day was Campbell Hoskins with his round of 39 points after a three-way countback was done by club officials. The runner up also with 39 points was Wayne Binnie and in third place on the day and also with 39 points was George O'hana.
Taking out the Super tee ntp on the 18th hole on Saturday was Chris Kerr with a very nice shot. In the weekly ball competition the winners were players with a score of 35 points on a countback and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
Tomorrow at the club the Members and visitors will hit off from 7am in the 2019 Coastline Credit Union 18 hole Single Stroke event for the Monthly Medals in each grade on the day. All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round. All players are reminded to carry a bucket and replace your divots after the recent rain has made the course very soft.
Coming up on Saturday October 12 is the 2019 Dyet Family Memorial Golf day which will be a 18 hole Single Stroke event with the best score on the day being the major winner of the Memorial trophy. Book in now at the club for any upcoming events at the club.
