The Australian Aerobatic Club held a practice event at the Kempsey Airport on the long weekend of October 5 to 7, which was hosted by the Kempsey Flying Club.

Club members from NSW, SA and Qld attended and practiced for the upcoming national competition on the first week of November in Tocumwal.
Attending the event was pilots from the Australian Aerobatic Academy in Sydney and the Sunshine Coast Flying School in Qld; sister schools specialising in aerobatic training.
There was approximately 20 pilots and five aerobatic aircraft performing aerobatics from 500 feet to 5000 feet above the airport.
The aircraft types were the Extra 300 (long wing aerobatic aircraft) and the Pitts Special, a full aerobatic small bi-plane.
