Daytime temperatures will be highest in Bellingen with 34 degrees, Urunga will be a shade cooler at 32 degrees but even Dorrigo will swelter with 31 degrees, although the fires might be lit tonight on the plateau when the temperature plummets to 9 degrees.
There is the chance of thunderstorms during the morning and afternoon with winds northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h turning westerly 30 to 45 km/h in the early afternoon then decreasing to 20 to 30 km/h in the evening.
Temperatures will drop back into the twenties tomorrow, and apart from Saturday, which will be in the mid to high twenties, will remain cooler through until Wednesday.
Night time temperatures will be mild, between 11 - 13 degrees, crisper in Dorrigo.
Advice on the Bees Nest fire, 27 km north of Ebor, is that is still 'being controlled'. UP to 10mm fell in the area overnight however hot, windy conditions mean flare ups are possible.
In a worst case scenario, a 45km back burn will take place to ensure containment.
