Wendy won the award ahead of thousands of nominated community transport professionals and five finalists.
"While Wendy has achieved many things during her 17-year tenure within the industry, none are greater than the positive, thriving and dedicated workplace culture she dedicates herself to daily," Linked Community Services (formerly known as Hastings Macleay Community Transport) CEO Carlie McWilliams said.
The award recognised Wendy, a community transport operations manager, for her excellence in servicing clients and demonstrated achievements within the organisation.
"Wendy's approach to the needs of clients echoes the organisation's mission statement; we deliver quality services that link people to the community, to promote independence and inclusion," Ms McWilliams said.
A key achievement that was recognised in Wendy's award submission was her ability to build an energetic and client focused team.
"Through her empowerment, Wendy leads her team to purposefully seek opportunities, identify industry gaps and propose solution-based options," Ms McWilliams said.
Coinciding with her list of larger organisational achievements, Wendy's attention to detail and daily activities is what she is celebrated for within the organisation.
Each morning, she greets all the staff individually with a smile and a wave, setting the tone for a productive, inclusive and recognised workplace environment.
Wendy and her team ensure each Linked Community Services vehicle is exceptionally maintained - clean to a point where it looks and smells new daily.
