Rocks stand-in captain David Hobday claims it was a team effort but pinpointed a number of key players who were instrumental in leading the side to the victory.
"We played as a team really well and all did our jobs," Hobday told the Argus.
"But a couple of players, including the pair who joined us this season from Stuarts Point, were standouts for us.
"Liam Askew (who scored 57 with the bat) had a great game, batted really well and took the game away from Rovers. He was definitely our standout player of the match."
The Rocks bowlers were dangerous in attack and dismissed Rovers for 131 in the 31st over.
Heath Askew (4/20) was the pick of the bowlers while Patrick Cotter (2/25), Hayden Williams (2/27) and Zach Maitland (2/20) each picked up two wickets each.
Rovers captain Allan Hutley (24) and Lachlan Munday (24) both top scored for their side and Ellis Jeffery (18), Brett Hutley (15) and Ellen Hetherington (14) reached double figures.
The Rocks' response started with disaster as Hobday (3) and Graham Hughes (9) were reduced cheaply but Askew managed to steer the ship in the right direction.
Askew's 57 more than doubled the next best score in the match. The Rocks' next best batsman was Stephen Moorecroft (21) while Cotter (11) also reached double figures.
Daniel Wade (3/32), Callum Peters (2/38) and Thomas Bates (1/14) were the three bowlers to pick up wickets for the Rovers.
Hobday has declared South West Rocks are a threat to Nulla's title defence, as their depth and quality of players has increased this season.
"We are all pretty excited about this season, we have a strong side and plenty of depth so we are confident we will be in a position to go all the way," Hobday said.
"There is a good mix of young and experienced players."
South West Rocks took a step forward last year as they closed the gap between them and the two powerhouses of the local competition; Rovers and Nulla.
South West Rocks will look to build momentum when they take on Stuarts Point/Eungai, who suffered a heavy defeat to Nulla last weekend, this Saturday.
Meanwhile Rovers will look for their first victory of the season when they take on the defending champions Nulla in round three of the competition.
The juniors played round one last Saturday.
