It's a remarkable feat for the 13-year-old, who only started competing on road bikes in March this year and riding dirt bikes competitively when he was 11.
The talented rider's potential and progress helped earn him selection as a wild card, while the Melville High School student also was the fastest competitor at the trials in Goulburn earlier this month.
Clay will take on the best competitors from across Australia and his father Damien is excited to see how his son fares.
"It will be interesting to see how he goes against the best riders in the country, I think he will give them a run for their money," Damien told the Argus.
"Clay is very passionate about racing, he absolutely loves it and can't get enough of it."
Clay has been competing in two divisions in the Motostars competition this year.
The Year 7 student is in fourth position overall in the Junior Kayo Class for Under-9 to 13-year-olds and fifth position overall in the up to 160cc Junior Road Race, which has competitors up to the age of 16 competing.
Damien is hopeful Clay will leave an impression in his first event in the Oceania Junior Cup and be invited to compete in the prestigious competition for the full season next year.
"If he rides well at Eastern Creek this weekend then there's the potential to enter another trial process and become a full time Oceania Junior Cup competitor," Damien said.
Unfortunately the Oceania Junior Cup wraps up for the season this weekend.
However, the riding won't stop for Clay as he will compete in a number of other events this year.
The final round starts with practice and qualifying on Friday November 1 while racing is held on Saturday and Sunday.
Clay expressed his gratitude to his sponsors Akubra, Williamson Bros, Col's Motorcycles and Central West Electrical.
