While it was being controlled, Lower North Coast Rural Fire Service Superintendent Lachlann Ison said RFS crews were still looking at containment options.
"The Andersons Road fire in the Willi Willi area is of particular concern at the moment," he said.
"We are still identifying potential control lines, that is our main focus."
There are five Rural Fire Service (RFS) and six National Parks crews at the fire, along with two bulldozers which are being supported with aerial assistance.
However, the smoky, hazy conditions we are experiencing are not expected to abate until next week.
All the fires in the area are contributing to the smoky conditions.
"We are expecting conditions to be smoky until at least next Monday, and residents need to take the necessary precautions, especially if they have pre-existing respiratory issues," Supt Ison said.
RFS crews have been working tirelessly to contain the many fires that have started across the region, and the severity of the situation has led to assistance being sent from other states.
"We are trying our best to manage fatigue issues. The health and wellbeing of our crews is obviously of very high importance," Supt Ison said.
There is a small amount of rain on the horizon, but Superintendent Ison is not ready to start celebrating just yet.
"Any amount of rain will help, but the 5mm they have forecast would only provide temporary relief, I think there would need to be at least 50mm before it had a significant effect," he said.
