Nulla defeated South West Rocks in the battle of the two undefeated sides. The win lifts Nulla into first place on the ladder.
Nulla batted first and posted a total of 198 on the back of strong innings from Adam Stutz (51), Dan Baker (36), Lloyd Black (26) and Shane Crouch (24). Six Nulla players reached double figures.
Hayden Williams (3/25) did the majority of the damage with the ball for South West Rocks while Heath Askew (2/19) and Mitchell Smith (2/34) also chimed in.
Smith backed up his efforts with the ball to record 14 as an opening batsmen and Matt Ryan (19), Cyril Davis (29) and Michael Fotheringham (26) contributed to the run chase but ultimately South West Rocks fell for 158 in the 35th over, 41 runs short of victory.
In the other first grade match, Rovers defeated Stuarts Point/Eungai to pick up their first win of the season. Rovers suffered defeat to South West Rocks in their first clash before their match against Nulla was abandoned.
Rovers proved too strong as they posted a total of 6/246 off their 40 overs and dismissed Stuarts Point/Eungai for 130.
