A spokesman said that due to the danger of falling trees the areas of Maras Creek Rd, Upper Buckrabendinni to the west of North Arm Rd, Williams Hill Rd and west of the Taylors Arm township (ie: the Pub with No Beer) are currently not considered safe for travel.
"Anyone who had withdrawn from their home and resides outside these areas should make an informed decision as to whether they return or not."
While no towns in the shire are under direct threat, the fires are still active and residents are reminded to monitor the RFS website for fire updates.
Those residents who genuinely believe they can't access their homes in the short term or whose homes have been destroyed should register at the evacuation centre at the Nambucca Heads Entertainment Centre, Ridge St, Nambucca Heads.
The Nambucca RSL and Macksville Ex-Services Clubs have established themselves as Community Support Centres but are not official evacuation centres.
As things move onto a recovery footing in the shire, information about where to go, what to do and what help is available, is being posted on Nambucca Shire Council's Facebook page.
Road closures within the shire will be on MyRoadInfo.
Finally, there have been inaccurate reports on social media.
Residents are urged to contact family members directly and to monitor RFS, emergency services and council's social media for information.
