NSW RFS public liaison officer Daniel Osborne said crews have been working on containment lines in the easing weather conditions.
"During Saturday, Sunday and today we have seen conditions temporarily ease. Tuesday is predicted to see conditions worsen but we shouldn't see as much fire activity as we have experienced over the last couple of weeks on the blow up days," he said.
"Tomorrow, temperatures are going to reach 32 degrees and winds will be north-westerly, with the speed being variable."
The humidity for tomorrow is forecast to be down around 20 per cent which can create high fire danger.
"We are able to have aircraft in the air today after yesterday's low visibility and thunderstorm in the afternoon. This will allow us to see what the situation is and if it's suitable, do back burning in the area," Mr Osborne said.
"Due to the thunderstorm that passed through, the fire has progressed in a northerly direction and we have deployed extra resources to the Postman's Trail area in an effort to stop the spread in that location.
"Ahead of tomorrow, crews have also undertaken tactical back burning in the Bellbrook area."
The RFS is working with the Department of Education on making the decision as to when it's safe to reopen Bellbrook and Willawarrin Public Schools.
There are plans for an information point to be set up in Willawarrin, details of which will be posted on the NSW RFS Lower North Coast Team Facebook page.
The Armidale Rd to Bellbrook is open, but the RFS is urging residents not to travel to the area if they don't need to.
"It is still an active fire ground, there are risks such as burning trees and we urge people to stay vigilant and not to travel to fire-affected areas if you don't need to be there," Mr Osborne said.
"Anyone travelling on Armidale Rd should be aware that tomorrow's fire activity could potentially see the road being closed."
