After a glorious year of music, the Bellingen Youth Orchestra would like to offer the community 'A day at the Proms' on Saturday December 7.

With repertoire from Carmen, Romeo and Juliet and Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance the audience will be wiping away tears of joy.
Performances will be held at 2pm and 6.30pm in Bellingen Memorial Hall and the BYO hopes to fill the space with people of all ages gathering together to celebrate another year of having an outstanding community youth orchestra and ensembles.

Refreshments will be available for purchase prior to start time and during interval for both the matinee and the evening performances of The Proms with proceeds to the orchestra.
Supported by Bellingen Shire Council, the BYO is also delighted to be able to offer two free morning sessions of Peter and The Wolf for children under 12 years and accompanying adults at the Mem Hall.
Session times will be 10am and 11.15am.
Through Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, the BYO will give young children an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra and interactive opportunities including dance, conducting, and an orchestra walk through.
Elizabeth Scott will be the narrator, captivating the audience with the story of Peter climbing over the garden wall and encountering a series of adventures.
As well as hearing the story and the music, the young audience will delight in being able to see Peter and the Wolf' on a large screen.
