The goal of the event is to bring people together to enjoy a festive night of entertainment with all of the proceeds going to Macleay families who have been impacted by the fires.
Four local Primary schools will be taking the stage to sing all of the popular carols and there will also be a flash-mob, Bollywood dancing and even cheerleaders led by local dance schools Danae Cantwell School of Dance and Garvey School of Dance. A swag of local Ukulele players will join in as well.
Renowned travelling Soprano, Jade Riordan will wow audiences with her angelic voice, performing songs we all grew up with.
Kemspey Shire Council general manager Craig Milburn will be the MC for the night, also giving thanks to the local Firefighters, SES and other organisations that have responded to and supported those impacted by recent fires.
Entry is a gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to local families who have lost everything. There will be plenty of cake stalls, games, a jumping castle, facepainting and more to keep everyone entertained,.
The event will get underway at 5pm at the Gladstone Memorial Park on Friday.
Local businesses are rallying behind the event, trading late and offering Christmas specials to spread the cheer. BYO picnic, or enjoy a meal from one of three sponsors: The Heritage Hotel of Gladstone, The Old Bank Licensed Restaurant, or Steam and Cedar.
