The Desert Rose mobile service truck will be at Kempsey Showground on Friday November 22 to help people impacted by bushfires.
Federal Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan said residents with damaged homes, small-business owners or employees impacted by bushfire should visit the truck and access assistance.
"People in the Kempsey region and further west to Willawarrin and Bellbrook have had a harrowing time battling bushfires," he said.
"It's important for anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one, been seriously injured in the blaze or have had their home or business damaged to access assistance by visiting the Desert Rose Centrelink truck in Kempsey on Friday."
The Desert Rose mobile service truck will be parked at the Kempsey Showground in Sea Street on Friday from 8.30am to 4pm.
A quick way to access assistance is also to call the Australian Government Emergency Information Line on 180-22-66.
The Federal Government provides disaster assistance through the Disaster Recovery Payment, Disaster Recovery Allowance and joint assistance with the New South Wales Government.
People severely affected by bushfire can access a one-off-lump sum payment of $1000 through the Disaster Recovery Payment and $400 for each eligible child under the age of 16.
Employees and small businesses impacted by bushfire can apply for up to 13 weeks income support through the Disaster Recovery Allowance. Information can be found at www.disasterassist.gov.au
