His talent is undoubted as he took out the A Grade championship and then teamed with Miho Ballard to win the Doubles. Barbara Morley took out the B grade championship.
Congratulations to these worthy winners.
In the A grade the best of five rubbers matches went Adi's way 3-1, 3-1, 3-0 as his opponents threw their all at finding a chink in his armour- but all to no avail.
It was a convincing win and those he was playing against were actually proud they had taken one game from him, such was his dominance on the night.
Jacob Kewley can feel chuffed about being A Grade runner up.
Barbara didn't have it all her way in the B Grade and a count back of the scores in the matches was required to separate her and Marshall Higgins who was playing in his first Club championship.
Barbara's better game scores allowed her to prevail and Marshall was a worthy runner up.
The doubles was no one-sided event either.
Again a count back was needed with three pairs winning two and losing one rubber each. Adi and Miho edged out Steve Tarbox and John Mundy to take out the trophy.
The Table Tennis Club is open to all comers on Wednesday nights from 6-9 pm in the RSL Bowling Club building.
The Club Championships are the only time players get seriously competitive and the play is more social with the focus on fun.
Call Graeme on 0424 656 479 if you want to have a go socially or competitively.
Our last night for 2019 is on December 4 so watch Facebook or the web page for details of when we start up again in 2020.
