Willawarrin, north-west of Kempsey, recently became the home of a new BlazeAid camp set up to help locals repair and rebuild their fences after the recent bushfires.

They already have several teams ready to assist, but the fledgling camp needs more hands. Camp coordinator Jenni is currently looking for anyone able to help.
"More people are gradually coming to the camp, but we can always use more boots on the ground, so we can have all our trailers operating at once," she said.
"All the equipment is provided, and we try to have at least one experienced fencer in each team.
"Anybody can volunteer, there are plenty of jobs for everyone, we have one guy at the moment who is unable to work in the fields, so he is our handyman around the camp, we can find jobs for anyone, age is no barrier, volunteers can range in age from 12 to 80.
"It doesn't matter if you volunteer for a day, or a week, every little bit helps, the important thing is to get help to those who need it."
The Willawarrin BlazeAid camp has an enormous task ahead of it, with the village ravaged by fire during the last few weeks, many require help, but Jenni is adamant they will be here until the job is done.
"There have been around 100 farmers so far that have asked for our help, and at this stage we will be here for as long as it takes, depending on each situation, we could be here for months," she said.
BlazeAid primarily works with families and individuals who are in genuine need of volunteer assistance, but it also takes care of its volunteers.
"We treasure our BlazeAid volunteers, we provide breakfast, dinner and ingredients to make sandwiches for lunch," Jenni said.
BlazeAid has been operating in nearly every major disaster since its inception ten years ago. Properties across Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia have all benefited from the charitable organisation.
