Jemma Edwards (St Paul's Kempsey), Heath Lancaster (St Paul's Kempsey) and Mason Bannon (Macleay Vocational College) have been selected to perform at Port Macquarie's Glasshouse on February 13.
Bravissimo showcases the best HSC music students from the Mid North Coast and Tablelands regions.
Students travel as far south as Wingham, Gloucester and Forster, west out to Armidale and Tamworth, and north through Kempsey up to Coffs Harbour for the event.
Jemma said she felt honoured after being selected to perform at Bravissimo.
The flautist said it's great to see students from a small place like Kempsey be selected for the performance.
While Jemma is nervous, she's also excited.
"It will be good to get out there and show what I can do," she said.
The performance will be Jemma's second at Bravissimo, after she originally accompanied another student on stage a couple of years ago.
On February 13 Jemma will be accompanied by band members from Klepta Klezm. Band members include Rhiannon Edwards, Isabelle Capararo, Robyn Edwards, Malcolm Capararo, Gabe Hilhorst, Leonie Capararo and John Marks.
Jemma is pursuing music as a career since completing her HSC in 2019. She will study at the Sydney Conservatorium to become a high school teacher. She would also like to teach students who might be less fortunate, to make music accessible for all.
Meanwhile Mason Bannon is ready to rock on stage with his performance of Surfing with the Alien by Joe Satriani.
Mason performed the song as part of his HSC assessment. He chose the song to challenge himself.
Mason has been playing electric guitar for about seven years. He's attending university at Lismore in 2020 and studying music.
Mason has attended Bravissimo as an audience member and said he was inspired by some of the performances.
Heath Lancaster has been playing guitar for the last seven years. He will play the instrument while singing Neon by John Mayer at Bravissimo.
Heath is currently taking a gap year in Sydney and is hoping to secure gigs to raise his profile.
Heath grew up listening to a lot of country music, which he said has been a big influence on his style.
While in Sydney Heath is hoping to hone his song writing skills.
He said he'll often come up with a melody first and then add lyrics in.
"The lyrics are the hardest part," he said.
