The important role seniors play in society as well as the contributions they make will be celebrated this month with a diverse program of events for the 2020 Macleay Seniors Festival.

Appropriately themed 'Love to Celebrate', the festival will officially open on Tuesday, February 11 with a Seniors Expo at the Slim Dusty Centre hosted by celebrity chef Lyndey Milan.
The expo will feature over 30 information stalls, break out workshops and displays and is an ideal way to find out what's available to seniors in the local area.
Following the expo will be 12 days filled to the brim with events and activities across the Macleay.
Event highlights include:
- The South West Rocks Mini Expo - South West Rocks Country Club Thursday, February 13, 10am-1pm. An informative session with special guest speakers from the Seniors Rights Service, Mid North Coast Community Legal and Mid North Coast Local Health District.
- High Tea Boogie with Wednesday Morning Group, Oddfellows Hall, 22 Kemp St, West Kempsey, Sunday, February 16, 2pm-5pm. The Wednesday Morning Group is a collective of volunteers who love to dress up and sing and dance to raise people's spirits. Come along and enjoy a high tea and watch the fun. Cost is $5 at the door.
- Stuarts Point Mini Festival - Stuarts Point Hall 2A Ocean Avenue, Wednesday, February 19, 9:30am-4pm. The festival will include cake decorating, lure making, a school band performance and guest speakers from the Seniors Rights Service and Mid North Coast Local Health District.
- Col Hardy and Taronga Zoomobile, Wigay Park, 58 Sea St, West Kempsey Tuesday 18 February 10:30am-1pm. An inspiring native animal and dreamtime presentation delivered by Brewarrina Elder and popular country music star, Colin Hardy OAM.
