Kempsey is predicted to receive 100mm of rain by the end of the week, according to Weatherzone meteorologist Joel Pippard.

It comes after over 24mm of rain fell over a 24 hour period up to 9am on Monday, February 3.
The rain was accompanied by two storms overnight, which brought 2000 lightning strikes west of the Kempsey township. Winds also reached a high speed of 78km/h.
Members from the NSW SES Kempsey unit were called to 11 jobs as a result of the weather.
The unit's media officer Greg Gill said the jobs consisted of trees falling on roads and leaking roofs at properties.
Mr Gill is reminding people to clean their gutters to prevent potential leakages in times of heavy rain.
Meanwhile, Mr Pippard said Kempsey is set to be hit with a cool change from Tuesday, February 4.
Tuesday is set to reach a top of 25 degrees, in contrast to Monday's top of 35 degrees.
Mr Pippard said residents can expect cooler weather to remain for the rest of the week, with temperatures hitting a top of between 25 and 27 degrees.
Mr Pippard said the weather will be accompanied by heavy rain, with Thursday and Friday predicted to receive the most. Between 40mm upwards of 80mm is expected to impact on both days.
The average daily temperature for Kempsey in February is about 29 degrees. This week temperatures are expected to be cooler than the average.
Temperatures overnight are also expected to be more comfortable for sleep, reaching a top of 18 degrees.
Meanwhile, Mr Pippard said Kempsey broke a 55 year record for the hottest month of January in 2020.
The average daily temperature in January for 2020 in Kempsey was 32.5 degrees. According to Weatherzone, the hottest January on record for Kempsey was last recorded in 1965.
