The death toll from a flash flood that hit hundreds of Indonesian students during a hike along a river on the island of Java has risen to 10.

A group of 249 junior high school students were walking along the river in Sleman district on Friday when it burst its bank and swept away many of them.
Agus Wibowo, spokesman for the National Disaster Management Agency, said search personnel found the final two missing people in the early hours of Sunday morning, on the last day of the search operation to look for the missing students.
The last two missing students were girls aged 13 and 12 years old.
They and the other eight who died in the flash floods were part of a group who were practising scouting skills on the river bank.
The river burst and generated a flash flood triggered by a heavy rains in the upstream area. Of the other students, 216 were safe, while 23 were injured.
"We declared the search operation is finished with the latest recovery of victims," the commander of the search and rescue operation, Asnawi, said in a statement.
