Vice president of the local swimming club, Simone Farrell, hopes that members of the community will come along and show their support.
"It's a nice community event; we will have a BBQ and locals can come and see some of the best swimmers in the area compete," she said.
"Everyone is welcome to come along."
Aside from the carnival this weekend, Kempsey Swimming Club also runs regular club nights, and Farrell is adamant these are the perfect way for swimmers to train for upcoming competitions.
"Our club nights run Tuesdays at 6 pm, every week, it's a good way for up and coming swimmers to practice, and maybe get into carnivals," she said.
