Eungai was gripped by the need for speed as 26 competitors from the Kempsey Sporting Car Club proved their prowess in five time tests at the 'March into 2020' Khanacross event at the Unkya Reserve.
The club has been going strong since 1956, with six events at Eungai per year, hillclimbs at Cooperabung, and a rally sprint event in the Tamban State Forest.
Sunday's Khanacross competitors ranged in ages from 14 to their 60s, with six juniors competing on the day.
The event is a great way for teens to learn car control in a safe environment.
Birthday girl Felicity Kesby smoked her male rivals in her Hyundai Excel to take out the titles of first junior, first junior competing on road tyres, and first junior lady.
The independent time tests were split into three divisions - road tyres, rally tyres and 4WD/specials.
