The playground has been a long term goal for the school and P&C group.
"It has been a long process, in 2016 the old equipment was deemed unsafe and we started thinking of how we could replace the playground for the students," Principal Cameron Upcroft said.
"The P&C group raised $20,000 over the last few years and the school has matched the amount to install the new playground."
Vice president of the Crescent Head Public School P&C group Karly Edwards said it was a team effort to deliver the playground for the students.
"It really was a group effort over the last couple of years. We started planning it in 2017. We started holding raffles and community events to raise the money," she said.
"In 2019 we started the planning process and have finally opened it for the school."
The playground was officially opened by Principal at NSW Department of Education and Communities Emma Jeffery.

Ms Edwards said it is an amazing feeling for everyone involved to see the project finished.
"It was a very long project, and it's so good to see it finished."
