What about our local pools, could anything be better about them?
Kempsey Shire Council is inviting residents to provide their feedback on the draft 'Your Future Places and Spaces' Community Infrastructure Strategy that will help council identify and plan the public spaces needs of the shire for the next 20 years.
Council-owned community infrastructure includes cultural buildings, community halls, art galleries and libraries and open spaces such as parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities.
To try and speak to as many of the community about this important plan, council is hosting two online Q&A sessions where you can hear directly from those who put the plan together, ask them questions and have your say.
The sessions will be held on June 13 from 9-10am and June 17 from 6-7pm. To attend please register your interest on yoursay.macleay.nsw.gov.au/Your-Future-Places-Spaces
"In 2019, we conducted a facilities audit and spoke with many groups and individuals to understand what community infrastructure they currently use and how they use it," Mr Schwartz said.
"That insight into the community's needs guided this draft plan. Now we want the community to tell us whether they agree or disagree with it.
"Community feedback is vital in ensuring that everyone can access the essential services and recreational spaces they need to live well."
To register for the Q&A or to read the plan and provide feedback head to yoursay.macleay.nsw.gov.au/Your-Future-Places-Spaces or you can call 6566-3200 to request a paper copy of the survey and strategy.
