SIX exciting initiatives in the Nambucca Shire are among 15 projects in the Oxley electorate to secure a share of $300,000 through the NSW Government's 2019 Community Building Partnerships program.

Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey said the State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities.
The six recipients to benefit in the Nambucca Shire are:
. Scotts Head Tennis Club - $30,000 towards replacing two hard court surfaces and improving drainage.
. Macksville Showground - $44,000 for major electrical upgrade works.
. Bowraville Recreation Club - $18,000 to buy a new aerator to maintain the golf and bowls greens.
. Macksville Ex-Services Junior Cricket Club - $11,823 towards upgrading training facilities, including nets and a synthetic wicket.
. Scotts Head Sharks Football Club - $23,000 to upgrade canteen facilities at Buz Brazel Oval.
. Bowraville Arts Council - $21,380 towards improving access to the Bowraville Historical Theatre.
"This is fantastic news," Mrs Pavey said.
"This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social, environmental and-or recreational outcomes."
