Police say no one was injured. It is understood the truck clipped the 4WD while it was parked on the side of the road.
At 11.30am, one lane remains closed during the clean-up operation, which saw large quantities of diesel spilled.
A heavy vehicle tow truck, Emergency Services and Transport for NSW are all on site.
Traffic conditions are considered 'moderate'.
Latest advice is that northbound traffic may be held intermittently during vehicle salvage and clean up.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and exercise caution.
