Rangers went into this round seven fixture coming off the back of two uncharacteristic results, a 3-3 draw against Boambee FC and 3-2 home loss to Northern Storm.
Goalscorers for the men in blue and white were Brett Morn and Evan Clarke with braces and Chad Applegate scoring one.

The huge win sees them climb back up the ladder to third after dropping to fourth the previous round.
The top five spots in the Coastal Premier League are proving to be neck and neck with four points separating the first placed Coffs City United and fifth placed Northern Storm.
Rangers coach Chris Walker knows how vital it is to continue picking up points with no finals system this year.
"It was great to get a good result and after dropping points at home against Northern Storm last weekend it was important to take the three against United," he told the Argus.
"It was really important to get that confidence back in the squad, particularly with a huge game coming up this weekend."
Rangers will now verse Kempsey Saints on Sunday in one of the biggest games on the Macleay Valley sporting calendar.
In reserve grade, Macleay Valley were also successful, defeating Port 1-0.
The reserves currently sit in sixth place on 11 points.
