The meeting on September 11 lasted a marathon three hours.
No doubt the passage of time was eased by the peach/ricotta cake brought along by branch cooking officer Brenda Jones.
She's now offered a challenge to each member to bring a slice or cake for judging at the next meeting.
They'll also be part of a light brunch of sandwiches and tea to share with Irene Wells, president of Coffs CWA, who will chair the meeting for election of officers for the next year.
The branch is excited and enthused about the new CWA community garden being planned at the rear of the building. It is to be known as the "Fanny Wilson" Garden after the founding president of the branch in 1930.
Six members visited Laraine Bojarski's property at Coramba for a day out and were treated to the real country hospitality - china cups, saucers and plates, with cakes and sandwiches.
The AGM will be held on October 9, starting at 9am. New members are more than welcome.
