A man will appear in court today charged with multiple firearm offences on the Mid North Coast.

Just before 7pm on Wednesday, September 23, officers from Mid North Coast Police District were called to West Kempsey, following reports of shots fired.
Police have been told a man allegedly discharged a firearm into the air before leaving in a vehicle.
The occupants were not injured during the incident.
A crime scene was established and examined by forensic officers.
Following inquiries, a 54-year-old man was arrested on Elbow Street, West Kempsey, at about 12.20am today, September 25.
He was taken to Kempsey Police Station and police conducted a search of his vehicle. Inside, they located ammunition, a baseball bat, a baton and a knife.
The South Kempsey man was charged with possess loaded firearm public place, fire firearm in or near public place, fire firearm manner likely injure persons/property, possess unregistered firearm in public place, possess unauthorised firearm, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).
He was refused bail to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court today, September 25.
