Kinne was born in Kempsey and attended Kempsey High School before moving to Newcastle to study a Bachelor of Business and Marketing.
"I had always been interested in improving the outcomes for people wanting to further their education who came from low socioeconomic areas," Kinne said.
"When I was at university I started working in recruitment at Newcastle University and I was able to further my passion for getting young people into university."
Following her graduation from university, Kinne worked at Wollongong University and was involved in a STEM outreach program.
"I was mainly helping students to get a higher education and to get students involved in STEM subjects and jobs," she said.
When the position became available for a centre manager for the CUC Macleay Valley, Kinne said the role was a perfect fit for her.
"It was a great opportunity to come back home and help young people in my community," she said.
As centre manager, Kinne's role will include recruitment, helping students build aspirations and helping them find work following graduation.
"The role will be everything from helping students enrol to supporting them through their studies."
Kinne was welcomed by CUC Macleay Valley board members during a lunch on Wednesday.
"I'm really excited to work with everyone and am looking forward to working in my community to help local students get a higher education," Kinne said.
Kempsey Shire Mayor and CUC Macleay Valley Board Chairperson Liz Campbell said she is excited to work with Kinne and welcomed her to the role.
"We're so lucky to have Kinne as our centre manager and we know she will bring so much knowledge and experience to the role.
"We're very much looking forward to working with her."
