New public amenities in the Willawarrin Showground area will be completed by the end of this week.
Kempsey Shire Council is on track to complete the installation of the new prefabricated amenities with the new building relocated east of the existing building.
The new facility features the first fully accessible toilets west of Kempsey, toilets and changerooms for events as well as a new roof and access pathway.
Once the new amenities block is completed and opened to the public, the old building will be demolished.
The project has been financed through a combination of funding from council, NSW Government Stronger Country Communities and the National Bushfire Recovery Agency.
The project was also identified as a priority in council's 2019-2020 Operational Plan.
